Chicago Robbers Use Fake Road Blocks to Lure & Attack Drivers
Police on the South Side of Chicago are investigating a scheme in which robbers set up fake road blocks and then attacked and robbed unsuspecting drivers.
WGN-TV reports that the bogus street closings were set up at least twice in the last five days in the early evening in the same city blocks in the city’s Fuller Park neighborhood – just a few blocks from a police station.
After drivers approaching the road block stop to move a construction barricade and sign placed in the street, several suspects appear to attack and rob the motorists.
Suspects are still being sought in the case and police have released composite descriptions compiled from victims of the scheme.
